Terms of Service for Athula Motors

Welcome to Athula Motors. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our vehicle repair and maintenance services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Important: Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our services.

2. Service Description

Athula Motors provides professional vehicle repair and maintenance services including but not limited to:

  • General vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnostic services
  • Bodywork and collision repair
  • Insurance claim estimates and repairs
  • Electrical system repairs
  • Brake and suspension services
  • Engine and transmission services

3. Service Appointments and Estimates

3.1 Appointment Booking

Appointments can be made via phone, email, or in person. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.

3.2 Estimates

All repair estimates are based on visual inspection and diagnostic findings. Actual repair costs may vary if additional issues are discovered during the repair process.

Note: Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. We will contact you for authorization before proceeding with any additional repairs beyond the original estimate.

3.3 Diagnostic Fees

A diagnostic fee may apply for complex issues. This fee may be waived or applied toward repairs if you choose to have the work completed at our facility.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Insurance payments (with prior approval)
  • Bank transfers (for corporate accounts)

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services
  • For insurance claims, customer portion (deductible) is due at time of vehicle pickup
  • We reserve the right to retain possession of vehicles until payment is received in full
  • Late payments may be subject to storage fees

4.3 Storage Fees

Vehicles left on our premises for more than 3 business days after completion of repairs may be subject to a daily storage fee of $25.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

5.1 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 12-month/12,000-mile warranty on workmanship for most repairs. This warranty covers defects in labor but does not cover parts (which are covered by manufacturer warranties).

5.2 Parts Warranty

All parts used in repairs carry their respective manufacturer warranties. We will assist with warranty claims for defective parts installed by our technicians.

5.3 Warranty Limitations

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Pre-existing conditions not related to our repair work
  • Repairs performed by unauthorized third parties

6. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle information
  • Disclose any known vehicle issues or concerns
  • Remove personal belongings from your vehicle before service
  • Provide valid insurance information when applicable
  • Pay for services as agreed
  • Pick up your vehicle within a reasonable time after service completion

7. Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Athula Motors shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
  • Loss of use of your vehicle during repairs
  • Personal items left in your vehicle
  • Damage caused by pre-existing conditions or unrelated components

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

8. Insurance Claims

When handling insurance claims:

  • We will work directly with your insurance company for claim processing
  • You remain responsible for your deductible and any non-covered items
  • Insurance payments must be received before vehicle release (unless other arrangements are made)
  • We cannot guarantee that insurance will cover all repairs

9. Vehicle Storage and Abandonment

Vehicles left on our premises for more than 30 days without communication may be considered abandoned. We reserve the right to pursue legal remedies including lien sales or towing at the owner's expense.

10. Changes to Services

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue any service at any time
  • Refuse service to anyone for any reason at our discretion
  • Change pricing with reasonable notice

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Athula Motors is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to mediation before pursuing legal action.
